Commenting on his tenure in the Moat Ground hot seat Mark commented, "It has been an absolute privilege to have served as Gresley Rovers Chairman.

"When I was asked by the Board to take over the role from our previous Chairman in May 2018, I said that my main initial aim was to bring what at the time was a fragmented Club together again and rebuild relationships particularly with the club’s fantastic supporters.

"The Board of directors have been brilliant and backed me 100 % and each one of them has my grateful thanks. The time is now right for me to step down and allow a new Chairman with the drive, energy and enthusiasm to work with our owner, Peter Robinson, to make our moved to the new ground a reality.

"I am therefore delighted to announce that the Board have elected Gary Norton as my successor. As anyone connected with the club already knows, he is Gresley Rovers through and through and has all the qualities to develop this great club further.

"Thank you to everyone involved with the Club for your support."
