Fundraising Event At Gresley FC
Gresley FC are planning a Family Fun day on August Bank Holiday Sunday in order to raise club funds.
The event is being organised by First Team manager Gary Norton and the GFC Supporters' club and will be held at the club's Moat Ground on Sunday August 26th. The main event will be a re-union game between teams made up from past Gresley FC and Gresley Rovers favorites.

Norton is planning a re-union of the Gresley FC “back to back” title winning teams who won the East Midlands Counties League (2011) and Midland Alliance League (2012). In addition its hoped that news of the event will reach past Rovers legends from the 1991 Wembley FA Vase final squad and 1997 Southern League winning title squad and Norton requests that anyone who is in contact with anyone from those sides directly or via social media let them know about the event and get in contact with Norton or the club to confirm if they are able to come along (contact email: info@gresleyfc.com).

As well as legends from the above successful eras there will also be a number of other past fans favorites and names of those taking part will be released nearer the event once confirmed.

The Supporters' club are also hoping to arrange a game against their Burton Albion SC counterparts in a 20 minute each way game

Doors open at 1pm with the main game planned to kick off at 3pm. The Social Club will be open and there will be plenty of food and drink available. As well as the football there will also be lots of family fun for the kids in the form of bouncy castles, face painting, beat the keeper and a number of other activities that are currently being planned.
