Fans Forum Transcript (page 3)
Is it the league that stipulates what time evening kick offs take place because the lateness possibly stops families with children from coming especially if they are matches with extra time to be played if necessary?

ME: It is the league. In the Southern League we had the option but not in the UniBond. We did try a Friday night kick off this season that resulted in our highest attendance. I will be attending the UniBond meeting soon and it may be worth bringing this up there and asking the question to have an earlier midweek kick off where both clubs agree. I'm sure the more local clubs would agree.

Do you find open forums like this useful?

GN: Yes I do. There are not many clubs that do this but I think it's a chance for fans to ask questions direct. We are probably the only club, certainly at our level, who publishes after match comments; player interviews using video etc and I think it's very useful. Whatever the result win, lose or draw you will always find me in the Social Club after the match. Supporters have taken me aside to discuss their points of view and I've always done that with them.

Aaron, do you think you've improved on last season and are you enjoying your football?

Aaron O'Connor (AO'C): I've scored more goals than last season so yes I'm enjoying it. Strikers always enjoy scoring goals. We are in a similar position in the league to last year and I was confident then that we could make the play offs and I'm just as confident this season. Hopefully, we can make that push that we didn't last year.

Allan, how do you think things are going?

Allan Davies (AD): I think we can do a little bit better obviously. The away form hasn't been as good as we needed it to be and that's reflected in the league position. The home form's has been good up until Saturday and as long as everyone keeps their heads - we've got a great changing room, and a great set of lads and the quality in there. Eight of the last thirteen games are at home so, starting on Saturday, if we can get three points at home I think although it's going to be tough we can certainly make the play offs. Once you are in there anything can happen. If we got in there and met Fleetwood it could be a totally different story. I don't think we are a million miles away from being a really good side.

Andy, where do you prefer to play?

Andy Simpson (AS): To be honest it's been a long time since I played in midfield so it's difficult to say. If Gaz wants me to play in midfield it will be a bit of a culture shock because playing in defence is totally different to midfield. You don't have to run as much! (A'OC: You can answer the question now if you want!!). Ha ha, you can see what I'm trying to do - keep my options open so I can get back in the side. I don't really mind - I enjoy it at the back but I'm trying to evade the question because sometimes I like to play at the back and other times I like to play in midfield. I dodged that one well enough didn't I?
