Albion tributes flood in

Burton Albion were quick to welcome Gresley’s rise to the top flight.
Manager Brian Kenning described it as a “great achievement” to secure promotion from the midland Division at the first attempt.

He added: “With Nuneaton going up as well, it means there are some big local derbies to look forward to next season.”

Chairman Jock Gordon said: “It’s great for Gresley and great for football in the area generally. I’m looking forward to playing Gresley – and beating them!!”

Supporters’ Club chairman Peter Thomas said: “I wish to pass on my sincere congratulations. Having Gresley in the Premier Division will add a lot of spice next season.”
