Gresley FC has agreed a lucrative sponsorship with a Church Gresley car dealer to enable it to bring into use a new set of kit.
The new kit, showing the sponsor’s name MJ Car Sales Ltd, will be used as a first choice strip by the Youth Team and will be used an alternative strip for the reserves. The current deal that has been agreed between Gresley FC and MJ Car Sales Ltd runs until the end of the 2011/12 season. MJ Car Sales Ltd was established in 2000 and is based on Park Road in Church Gresley.
Director of MJ Car Sales, Mark Baxter, said, “I have helped other football clubs in the past and I thought that I’d now like to do something with Gresley FC. I was particularly keen to sponsor kit although there are plenty of other opportunities for businesses who want to get involved.”
“Living and working so close to the club, I’m well aware as to its importance in the community although following football hasn’t been high on my list of priorities. I sense I will now be showing much more of an interest in Gresley FC’s progress.”
Justin Goodchild, Manager Gresley FC Reserves, added, “Support from businesses like MJ Car Sales Ltd is vitally important for all football clubs and I was delighted to be able to welcome Mark Baxter to the Moat Ground.”
“Our fans will know how important the Youth and Reserve teams are to the future well being of this club. As we look to move forward we can only get to where we want to go with the support of other businesses.”
