Gresley Rovers vs Shepshed Dynamo

First team manager Gary Norton used the reserve team game to give six of his recent seven signings a run out.

On 5 minutes Steve Lenagh opened the scoring when he headed home a cross from Gary White.

Former Gresley keeper Ian Roberts was keeping his side in the game making some good saves until the 38th minute when Leigh Everitt doubled Gresley’s lead.

Everitt began the move before exchanging passes with White and on receiving the ball he smashed it home giving Roberts no chance.

Just after the break Gresley scored their third. White received the ball on the edge of the area and ran on to the Shepshed defence before unleashing a powerful shot passed Roberts.

The fourth goal came on 61 minutes when substitute Bruce Lwando managed to get in front of a defender and stabbed the ball home.

Lenagh scored his second of the game and Gresley’s fifth on 84 minutes with a powerful shot into the roof of the net.

Gresley Rovers: Belford, Branch, Tate, Everitt, Haynes, Barrett, Moran, Doughty, Harrad, Lenagh, G White. Subs: Kitching, Alexander, Lwando.
