Gresley Rovers vs Bedworth United
The Reserves got their ICIS Midland Combination Reserve Division Season off to a flyer on Saturday with a 6-0 defeat of Bedworth United.
Mickey Sandar almost gave Rovers the lead after 13 minutes when he cut inside his fullback only to shoot into the side netting when he really should have done better. He did open his account on 18 minutes when Jenkinson progressed down the right and turned the ball inside to Matt Moran who inturn found Sandar to fire home to the far post.
Rovers extended the lead on 26 minutes when Gary Norton's 25 yard shot was only parried by keeper Fallon to the feet of Carl Timms who netted with ease.
Sandar made it 3 on 37 mins when he touched home a Matt Moran cross shot and the same player completed his hatrick on 40 minutes when a well rehearsed corner found him free to head home.
Ryan Yearsley came off the bench to score from 20 yards just after the hour and Sandar completed the scoring on 72 minutes converting the rebound from John Jenkinsons shot.
