Injuries continue to worry Frank

Gresley Rovers boss Frank Northwood finds his worries piling up as he prepares for Monday’s top-of-the-table Banks’s League clash at Atherstone.
With four key players already out injured, Northwood is waiting on the fitness of keeper Karl Austin who bruised a hip in Thursday’s 3-0 home win over Tipton Town.

Loan signing Bob Aston, from Eastwood, was standing by to fill the gap in today’s home game with Armitage.

Monday’s game will be a dress rehearsal for Gresley’s Banks’s League Cup Final later in the month.

Table-topping Adders earned a place in the final with two goals in injury time against Rushall Olympic who had led 1-0 from the first leg, on Thursday.

Supporters will have to wait until later in the week to find out where and when the delayed final will take place.

Meanwhile, depleted Rovers will be hoping for an unlikely win on Monday to avenge their 3-0 Boxing Day home defeat and to keep alive their chances of the league title.
