Matlock Pre-match News
With Matlock Town still refusing to allow the Moatmen to play David Clarke in goal manager Gary Norton will have no alternative but to play an outfield player between the sticks.
The rules of the Derbyshire Senior Cup is that any new player must be signed seven days before the date of the original fixture. However, with Tommy Whittle leaving the club Rovers applied to the Derbyshire FA for permission to play Clarke. They said they would allow the keeper to play if Matlock agreed - unfortunately they didn't and have continued to refuse to let Clarke play.

Reserve team keeper Tom Allan is unavailable due to work commitments in Wales.

So the question for Norton is who to play in goal with the choice coming from either Paul Edwards or Matt Millns.

Strikers Sam Litchfield and David Blenkinsopp are not eligible so Liam Hebberd, Ravi Sangha and possibly Edwards will have the task of leading the frontline.

Doubts are Carl Slater (stomach) and Andy Simpson (illness) but defender Colin Hoyle looks set to start after suffering no ill effects from coming on as a substitute against Eastwood Town on Saturday.

Subject to availability Norton may bring in some of the reserve team players to make up the squad.
