Gresley Rovers boss John McGinlay is looking to complete a double swoop.
McGinlay has already agreed a deal with Notts County to take 21-year-old goalkeeper James Lindley on a month's loan while he is also ready to snap up Bromsgrove striker Shaun Bedward.

Bedward scored against the Moatmen in the 1-1 draw three weeks ago and McGinlay sees him as an ideal man to add an extra dimension to Rovers' attack and increase competition for places.

Said the Moat boss: "Shaun scored against us for Bromsgrove and I have spoken to him about joining us and he is very keen. He has got pace and he will give us different options up front and raise competition, which is what we want and is something we have not had."

On the signing of Lindley McGinlay said: "It is no secret that I have been looking for a keeper and the fact we have signed Lindley gives us another month to look around and get the right keeper in for next season. It is a bit hard on Richard Selby who has come in and done OK but I felt we needed another keeper."

McGinlay admitted the strengthening of his squad would involve a bit of balancing and defender Carl Reynolds has agreed to join Borrowash Victoria.

Said McGinlay: "I wanted Carl to go on loan as I couldn't offer him a game at the moment but may have wanted to bring him back. However, Carl wanted a bit of stability and decided to join on a permanent deal and the club wishes him all the best. We were carrying a lot of players and you can't do that. It costs a lot of money and you can't please everyone, you have to balance things out."
