Mangotsfield pre-match news
Jon Newsome as asked his team to be a bit more consistent in their games and difficult to beat.
He said: “On Tuesday I sat down with the players and had a chat with the players and gave them a chance to air their views about the defeat at Bromsgrove. They said for some reason they felt lethargic and could not get up for the game, which they should have been because it was the FA Cup. I don’t think our mental approach as been quite right.

“We need to show teams we are not a ‘soft touch’ and get more consistency in our games. I’m going to make a few changes to see it if makes any difference. I’m without a few players for this game so I will give some of the youngsters who have done well in the reserves the opportunity to come in and stake their claim.”

Neil Kitching is on holiday and will be missing for the visit to Cossham Street. Striker Gary Smith has a broken arm and is waiting to see if a light weight cast can be fitted to enable him to play. But it will not be in time for tomorrow’s game. Newsome has a pulled hamstring and Craig Hopkins is missing due to work commitments so reserve players Carl Timms and Nathan Tate have been called into the squad alongside their reserve team mate Earl Alexander.

Chris White, Stuart Evans, James Lewsley and Lee Withers are still receiving treatment.
