New boss John McGinlay will take a back seat if Gresley Rovers' league clash at Solihull Borough gets the go-ahead tomorrow (3pm).
An early morning pitch inspection will decide if the surface is playable after water logging during the week.

If the game goes ahead, it will be a Rovers side picked by the reserve boss Alan Titterton that takes the field.

McGinlay, who has said he will be available to play for Rovers, is not named in the squad tomorrow as the former Bolton Wanderers and Scotland striker wants to take a good look at his team in action.

Rovers will be without the suspended duo Mark Peters and Justin O'Reilly, but defender Matt Warren has recovered from his back injury.

Goalkeeper Richard Selby may earn a surprise recall because Phil McGing was unable to train this week because of car trouble.

Titterton is happy to hold the first team reigns for a little while longer and is keen to help McGinlay out in any way he can.

Said Titterton: " John asked me and Gary Norton to carry on picking the team while he has a look at the players in a match situation."

If the game is off Rovers will have a practice match at the Moat Ground.

Rovers from: McGing, Selby, Roberts, Bluck, Broadhurst, Warren, Cheetham, Gardner, Allsop, Tucker, Dennis, Coates, Wardle, Sidhu, Allum, Doughty, Middleton, Reynolds, King.
