Rovers sweat it out

Gresley Rovers face an anxious wait before discovering whether their future lies in the Beazer Homes League Midland Division.
A shadow of doubt was cast over Gresley’s promotion hope on Saturday when Blakenall pipped them to the Banks’s League Premier Division title.

The Walsall side needed a point from their final game – and did just that in a goalless draw at home to Chasetown.

Members of the joint liaison committee which oversees promotion and relegation issues are expected to make public their deliberations in the next few days.

Gresley’s hope to win the Banks’s League Cup when they meet Halesowen Harriers in the final at Chasetown tomorrow (7pm).
