Reprieve for Jones
Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Scapegoat striker Graham Jones is likely to earn a reprieve tomorrow as Gresley Rovers attempt to revive their Banks’s League title challenge at Tipton (3pm).
Jones was told “consider yourself dropped” by manager Frank Northwood after the disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Rocester.

The shock news that goalscoring partner Paul Acklam is in hospital with a heart condition means, however, that Northwood will probably have to give the former Oldbury player another chance.

Midfielder Ian Wells returns to Rovers’ squad after completing an eight week suspension, but central defender Martin Haskins is still ruled out with a thigh injury.
