Rovers injury worries
Story courtesy of
Gresley Rovers and Rocester have injury worries on the eve of tomorrow’s vital Banks’s League showdown at the Moat Ground (3pm).
Rovers seem certain to be without experienced defender Martin Haskins because of a thigh injury which forced him to miss the final 21 minutes of Monday’s 3-1 win at Hinckley Athletic.

Secretary Peter Jenkinson said today: “Martin will be having more treatment tonight, but he has got to be rated as very doubtful at the moment.”

Rovers boss Frank Northwood has already pencilled in big Ray Skeemer into his squad, but may decide to use utility man Michael Guest instead.

Rocester boss Alan Beaman is sweating on the fitness of midfielder Paul Ede and leading scorer Mick Collins.

Ede is nursing a bruised foot, while Collins, who missed the Mill Street clash against his old club in October, is troubled by a damaged hamstring.

Already out of the Romans line-up is full back Rob Simock, a groin injury victim.
