Frank hits at Skeemer decision
Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Gresley Rovers’ boss Frank Northwood last night gave the signal for defender Ray Skeemer to join neighbours Stapenhill.
Northwood, unhappy at Skeemer’s decision to train with the Edge Hill side said: “If that’s what Ray wants then good luck to him.

“We’ve done everything we can to help him rebuild his career after two serious injuries and even paid for him to visit a physiotherapist to get him fit enough for training.

“Obviously I was disappointed that he should suddenly train with another club but I’m certainly not going to involve my self in a tug-of-war for him. We haven’t even talked terms with him because after 18 months out of the game there’s got to be a question mark about his fitness.”

Swans’ boss Mike Allsop plans to name Skeemer in his side to meet Scarborough in a friendly on Wednesday.
