Applications flood in
Applications for the manager's job are pouring in according to Chairman Mark Evans who said today: "The response to the advertisements has been very good. We have already received 19 applications and some of those have included their CVs and I'm very pleased with the quality of the applicants.
"Many of the applications are from new people – new in the fact that they did not apply last time – but some are from people who who applied for the job when it was last vacant. I am now waiting for the other CVs to arrive and will start making contact with people in the next few days.

"Obviously I would like to fill the position as soon as possible but will not rush into it. We have the very capable Alan Titterton in charge at the moment and a number of experienced players like Richard Wardle and Stuart Evans to lend a hand. We know we have a cup final coming up and if we are able to make a quick appointment, then fantastic.

"However there are pluses and minuses in terms of the timing and we are very close to the end of the season, but I'm more concerned with getting the right man. The important thing is to concentrate on the two important games we have coming up on Saturday and Monday. The players did very well to win on Saturday and the supporters have been fantastic."
