Wisbech Pre-Match News
Gresley are looking to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow after a frustrating last 3 league games which has yielded just 1 point.
Wisbech Town are the visitors and Gary Norton’s side will be looking for a little lady luck to be on their side as they can consider themselves unlucky not to have gained more points from recent games.

Manager Gary Norton is far from downbeat about his sides downturn in form commenting, “Result wise, we have stumbled a little in the last few games having been a little unlucky in our last few but the younger players in the side will learn from that experience and as will hopefully our more experienced ones.

"We could have easily have got 6 points from the last 9 available and ended up with just 1 with each of those games being finely balanced so we’ve just got to suck it up and move on. We just need to learn to improve how we start in games and then try to close games off better than we are in terms of avoiding late, late goals and we will certainly turn the corner. Tomorrow gives us an opportunity to try and do just that.”

Team wise Norton continues to be without the suspended Dexter Morris Clarke and Albert Lansdowne whilst Lucas Harrison didn’t train in the week due to a tight groin and will need a fitness check.

Jake McIntosh, Dom Allen and Cal Riddell all return to the squad after missing last week's game but defender Kane Jellyman who was expected to return this weekend misses out.

Norton explained, “Kane has recently taken a new job located in Cardiff and the extra travelling on top of being away in the week is starting to take its toll on him and his personal life. As a result he informed me this week that he is reluctantly going to take a step back from football for the time being but will try to be available for us in the event of an emergency.

"Obviously, that’s a blow but we respect Kane’s situation and it opens up the door for others elsewhere in the squad.

With Matt Roome recently returning to the squad, he could give us an experienced option and Jake McIntosh has done really well in the games he has started recently and once Alby is back we have decent options so we will see how we go. He added, “Jamie Barrett should also be available tomorrow after impressing on his return to the team for the first time in six weeks last weekend.”
