Ilkeston Pre-Match News
Manager Martin Rowe is expecting a big reaction from his players for tomorrow's game after their dismal defeat at Halesowen midweek.
"I thought we might have turned the corner, "said Rowe "but football can kick you when you least expect it. It was a bit of a shock because over the last 10 games we've defended well.

"Unfortunately the players were all as bad as each other - I think they must have all gone to watch the England match because they certainly weren't at our game. We've got to put that behind us and go again in the FA Trophy against Ilkeston.

"They beat us in pre-season and had a narrow win in the FA Cup last year, but we beat them the pre-season before. The players will want to bounce back, and if a few of them have another bad game, then that's when the axe will fall."

One piece of good news is that Moat Ground favourite Rob Spencer has recovered from his hamstring injury. Rowe said, "It will be like having a new player. We've missed Rob and he has a history of scoring important goals in cup competitions."

Marc Goodfellow, Jordan Nadat and Jamie Barrett all look set for a starting place after being left out for the Halesowen game. "I left all three out on Tuesday," said Rowe, "but they will all come back into the team."
