Players Sign On At Gresley
With Gresley FC's first friendly against Ilkeston Town fast approaching this weekend manager Gary Norton has indicated how things are shaping up for the new season with the news that the majority of least season's squad have agreed to remain at the club.
Gary Hateley, Darren Keeling, Gareth Langford, Richard Butler, Jordi Gough, Royce Turville Mickey Lyons, Tom Betteridge, Lee Barrow, Carl Slater, Jamie Barrett, Barry Woolley and Rob Spencer have all re-signed for the club during the last couple of weeks whilst striker Richard Hanslow has also made a return from Heather St Johns.

The next few days will see talks continue with the likes of Adam Betteridge, Aaron Dillon, Matt Hill and Oliver Hancock to see if they can be added to the list of names remaining with the club Gresley.

Of last season's East Midlands Counties League winning squad, Brian Woodall has joined League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge whilst the expected departure of David Blenkinsopp has been confirmed after he signed for Redditch United. In addition midfielder Danny Holmes looks set to join Leek Town.

Norton is running the eye over a number of trialists who are training with the club at the moment with nothing being announced as to any further new signings at this stage.

This weekend's game is behind closed doors at a 3G facility in Kirk Hallam due to pitch availability so Gresley supporters will have to wait until next Thursday (14th) evening to see the squad in action at Graham St Prims. KO 7.30pm
