Rovers Future Looks Brighter
Brian Kenning

Brian Kenning

Manager Brian Kenning is sure that things are beginning to look brighter at the Moat. Mark Peters' decision to turn down a move to Stourbridge and pledge his immediate future to the Moat Men confirmed Brian's optimism.
Peters is the latest in a long line of players who have decided to tough it out and pledge their support to the manager.
Since Brian's arrival at the Moat at the tail end of last season, he has installed into his side his desire for them to play football and to build a young team capable of bringing the good times back to the Moat.

Although the financial worries of the club are still to be erased, Brian truly believes that the Rovers are getting back on an even keel and believes his players can help drag the club forward into a new era.

"We are developing a footballing team here which is the way I want to do it, even though I think sometimes it is harder for the players to play good football for this division but that is how I want us to play".

Brian is confident his squad are in good shape to challenge for promotion next season, and do it playing good football.
"I am always planning ahead and I have already spoken to one or two players about joining us" he said. "We have a talented squad here and with the addition of a couple of quality players we will be in very good shape."

"As far as this season is concerned it would be a great confidence boost if we could round it off by getting to the Derbyshire Senior Cup Final."
