Guests invited to check in at the Moat
Gresley Rovers have announced a new partnership arrangement with Hotel Metro designed to introduce football at the Moat Ground to weekend visitors to the area.
Guests staying at the Hotel situated at Junction 11 on the M42, for a weekend break will be offered complimentary tickets / match day programme for Gresley Rovers – match permitting.

Gresley Rovers will get the use of the Hotel facilities, for accommodation, dinning and meeting requirements.

Mark Evans, Gresley Rovers Chairman, commented that this was a unique and forward thinking arrangement. It develops the idea of a partnership, provides the Hotel with an opportunity to promote a service enhancement and a local sporting attraction and allows us to attract new supporters and make use of hotel facilities when required.

We have already used the hotel in the past for meetings, both board and player meetings and occasionally Jon Newsome has stayed over night.

Hotel General Manager Jessica MacDonald said that she was delighted to be working with Gresley Rovers, “It is obvious that the Club is a very special part of the local community and football at any level is very popular and we are delighted to be able to offer our guests the opportunity to watch a game at the Moat Ground“.

Hotel Metro is now managed by the Jarvis Hotel, group which owns and operates 62 hotels nationwide.

The hotel also operated the Arts Bar and Grill, an innovative ‘eater' aimed at bridging the gap between chic and comfortable and being able to offer relaxed dinning in modern surroundings.

It's not the type of restaurant that you would expect to find in a hotel. Arts is about experience of eating out, it's about introducing ‘designer' style into hotel restaurants.

The Arts concept was created by internationally renowned Peter Weber, the man behind Henry J Beans, the Capital Radio Café, Chicago Pizza Pie and Meatpackers.

The Hotel and Arts Bar and Grill, can be found at A444/Junction 11, M42 next to Appleby Magna Village.
