Rovers axe King
Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Gresley Rovers have dispensed with the services of striker Dave King.
King joined the club in January from Ilkeston but manager Frank Northwood said last night: “Dave hasn’t done the business for us so he’s going back to Ilkeston. We shook hands and it was all very amicable.”

Northwood expects a tough game at Willenhall tonight (7.30pm), saying: “They’ll probably put men behind the ball and make it difficult for us but that’s what we’ve come to expect from most sides now.”

New boy David Crewe, a recent recruit from Clipstone, may make the substitutes’ bench. Defender Jason Minton faces a late fitness test.
