Reg sadly died on Boxing Day 2010 aged 87 years.

Signed by Leicester City as a teenage amateur in December 1940, and given a break during 1941-42.

During the war, he was noted (with the rank of Lance Corporal) in the COD (Old Dalby) side in the 1944 Senior Cup Final.

His service in the regimental police of the Queens Royal Rifles took him to Rangoon in Burma.

Johnny Duncan briefly had Reg on a professional contract at City from January 1947, but he was back with Gresley in the following term. (4 apps)

During the War years 1939-1945 records are not reliable as many games and players were not published in the local press.
Also, players were called up and played as and when they were available.
These figures are based on the most reliable available.
