Steve left Gresley September 1989 to rejoin Burton Albion as coach. However things did not work out and he rejoined Gresley January 1990.
First came to Gresley Rovers as a player but after 148 games an injury brought his playing career to an end, becoming Coach and then Manager towards the end of the 1991-1992 season.
Currently teaching at De Ferres High School, Stretton, Burton on Trent
