Good Evening everybody and welcome to my Captain's Log for the Derbyshire Senior Cup game against Matlock Town.
Today's game comes after a rare week without a midweek fixture which enabled us to spend some time on the training pitch working on a few things which I'm sure was a welcomed opportunity for the coaches.

We come into tonight's game on the back of Saturday's away defeat at the hands of Kidsgrove.
At last a League fixture at home on a Saturday, unbelievably you have to go back to the opening day of the season the 18th August where we played Market Drayton to remember the last time this was the case.

Since my last notes, we have secured three points out of six, with two indifferent performances.
These notes are being written fresh of the back of our FA Cup defeat against Ilkeston on Saturday, and I can't help having the feeling 'what could of been'.

Finally it's here. Gresley FC back competing in Step 4 of the non-league pyramid, this is what everyone connected with the club has worked so hard to achieve since the club reformed three seasons ago, and what an achievement it's been.
