The long and the short of it!
Story courtesy of Glenn Brookes - Burton Mail
John McGinlay may be ready to roll up his sleeves and work for the Gresley Rovers cause. But when he takes to the field in a playing capacity the manager's arms stay covered up.
For the former Scotland and Bolton Wanderers striker has a superstition - one which has meant a bit of extra work for Rovers' kit manufacturers TAG.

McGinlay has never played in a short-sleeved shirt and with the Moatmen not having any long-sleeved kit at the club it has meant TAG have had to make two additional shirts for the new boss - one in Rovers' traditional red and one in the away kit blue.

The Moat chief picked up his new shirts from TAG in Burton. Said McGinlay: " It is just a superstition. I have always worn long sleeves - even in the summer. When I arrived at the club and the chairman told me they only had short sleeves I said 'you're kidding me'. I guess I'm just a softie - I mean honestly, a Jock from Inverness in long sleeves!"
