Kenno wants errors cut out
Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Gresley Rovers boss Brian Kenning was in a mood after seeing his side collect three vital points from a 3-2 victory over Sutton Coldfield Town at a rain-soaked Moat Ground last night.
Two goals from Simon Tucker and one from Mark Peters saw Rovers return to winning ways.

But the Moatmen's victory was not without fault, with young goalkeeper Ian Simms gifting the home side their two goals and Kevin Allsop failing to find the target again.

Said the Moat boss: "I can't fault the lads' attitude but instead of being 1-0 up when Kevin Allsop's missed an easy chance, Ian Simms has dropped a howler.

"You then fight your way back and then get in front only for him (Simms) to make another bad error - it knocks the stuffing out of you."

Rovers also collected several injuries en route to victory.

Ritchie Gardner suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury, Adie Doughty, who replaced Gardner, lasted barely 25 minutes before being forced to go off with a groin strain while Ian Bluck picked up a shin injury.

"We'll have to see how they are at training on Thursday but all three could be doubts for Saturday's trip to Cinderford," said Kenning.

Gresley will already be without the suspended Peters, who also picked up another booking last night, although both Steve Coates, who has completed a three-match ban following his sending off at Bedworth and Dave King could well come into the reckoning.

Kenning paid tribute to Tucker, saying his winner was superb and adding he has been a "revelation" since joining the club.
