Rovers' old boys on Trophy trail
Gresley Rovers stars from the past line up for an Umbro Veterans Trophy clash with Derby based Kingsway Vets at the Moat Ground tomorrow (Weds ko 7.30pm).
Former Moat goal hero Brian Beresford and defender Stuart Watkiss, who revived his career in the full-time game with Walsall after being signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers by one-time Moat boss Frank Northwood, are among new names in the squad, as is former midfielder Gary Stevens.

The squad, skippered by midfielder Ian Gough, also includes former Derby County ace Phil Gee, 1991 FA Vase Wembley finalists Paul Acklam and Gil Land and Nigel Simms, who appeared in the shadow of the twin towers in the 1989 Trophy final for neighbours Burton Albion.

Manager Steve Gray picks from 18 players.

Rovers vets from: Wheatley, Acklam, Gough, Gray, Simms, Steele, Pickering, Arthur, Rose, Land, Cresswell, Watkiss, Stevens, Beresford, Birkenhead, Gee, Dick Gothard.
