Changes At The Top
At a board meeting held at the club's Moat Ground home last night Mark Alflat was confirmed as the clubs new Chairman on a permanent basis.
One of his first actions was to instigate a new constitution into the clubs governance. This will create clarity and transparency throughout, and he looks forward to presenting these to the supporters at a Fans Forum in the near future.

Mark had stepped into the role in an acting capacity following the resignation of former Chairman Barry North for the last week of the season but was unanimously voted into the position at the meeting last night by fellow directors.

Local businessman Pete Robinson is the clubs new Vice Chairman. Pete is a very well know personality in the local area and brings, business acumen with a drive and energy to help push the club forward.

In other business Gary Brockway returns to the club as Financial Director, Gary is a director at Baldwin’s Accountants and qualified accountant.

The vastly experienced Ian Collins will remain at the club as football Secretary but has also assumed the position of Company Secretary following last night's meeting

Adam Wildsmith has been appointed Commercial Director and will be part of a new commercial setup involving members of the supporters' club - details of which will be announced at an upcoming Fans forum meeting planned for Thursday 24th June (7.30pm) at the Moat Ground.

Reflecting on the news following his appointment Mark Alflat commented “I am delighted to have the opportunity to become Chairman of this great club. Following Barry’s recent resignation I was asked by my fellow board members to fill the void until the end of the season and at last night’s board meeting have agreed to take on the role going forward.

"As a longtime supporter of the club I have always tried to help the club in any way I can and more recently at board level but now will do my very best to help move the club forward as Chairman. I am also very pleased with the other Board appointments which give us additional experience and passion for the club at board level . We have also in the last couple of weeks re -established links with our excellent supporters club representatives and so there is a great optimism returning for the future".
