Rovers need a win
John McGinlay will be hoping tomorrow's game at Swindon Supermarine is played so that he and his team can rid themselves of the Solihull Borough nightmare.
This afternoon Swindon were still confident the game will go ahead but supporters are advised to check with Gresley before travelling as there will be a pitch inspection at 10.30am tomorrow.

McGinlay has warned that some of his side will be playing for their futures at Gresley and has said he won't be afraid to "wield the axe" if necessary.

"We are still looking to bring in a striker but they are hard to find because teams are always on the look out for goal scorers. We have brought in Michael Moore from Bromsgrove and Chris White from Hinckley United but we still haven't found a first choice partnership yet and it's a matter of balancing things out.

"When you look at the scoring charts for this league they list around 20 players and we have not got one in there so you can tell it is still a major problem for us. We have the fifth worse scoring record in the league with only the bottom four clubs faring worse. We have only scored two goals in the last five games."

McGinlay is still waiting to see if on-loan Ryan Ford will be fit enough to be included in the squad after being involved in a car accident on Boxing Day but defender Sean Cleary, on loan from Derby County, should be available.

"Don't let Swindon's league position fool you into thinking the game will be easy because they will be fighting for their lives. They have brought in a few new faces and I think it will be a tough examination for our lads," said the Moat boss.

With regards to new players McGinlay has already lined up one or two but will not bring them in before the FA Trophy game at Southport next week.

"I had a chat with the lads on Thursday night and they should be aware that I'm trying to bring in new players and if they are not then they haven't been listening." Said McGinlay.

If you have booked a seat on the coach to travel to Southport next week will you please pay any outstanding fees at the Social Club on Monday evening.
