Southport for Rovers
After their superb win at 'boggy' Bedworth, Rovers will now have to travel up the M6 to meet Conference side Southport in the next round of the FA Umbro Trophy.
The Merseyside outfit will be a challenge for the Moatmen but one they will relish.

Southport, once managed by ex-Gresley player/manager Paul Futcher, got through to the final of the Trophy in 1997/98 losing 1 - 0 to Cheltenham Town and through to the last eight 2000/01 this time losing to Chester City by a single goal.

The Sandgrounders are at present 13th in the Conference and last season finished a creditable 4th managed by ex-Liverpool player Mark Wright.

The tie is to be played on 12th January 2002 at Haig Avenue.
