News for the new season
Rovers season tickets will go on sale week beginning 24th July with the Moatmen also launching a new initiative to get fans through the turnstiles.
A child accompanied by a full-paying adult will be admitted for just 1 next season though adult and concession match prices have gone up by 50p - to 4.50 and 2.50 respectively.

Adult season tickets have risen by 10 to 80 with the concessionary rate up by 5 to 40. Season tickets also admit to youth and reserve team games.

Said secretary Neil Betteridge: "The match ticket prices may have gone up but they represent excellent value for money - the adult match ticket is just 50p more than the minimum set by the Dr Martens League while the adult season ticket works out at 3.80 per match and that's before you take into account reserve and youth team games.

"We've always had a great response from supporters and with the new child admission initiative we also hope to get more youngsters into the ground."

Season tickets will go on sale at Monday evening's game.

Girl power is coming back to the Moat Ground thanks to Rovers' decision to revive their ladies team.

They will be playing in the Unison East Midlands League alongside the likes of Nottingham Forest, Leicester City, Derby County and Burton Albion.

Said Rovers Chairman Mark Evans: "This is a new community initiative because there is a demand for ladies football both from a players' and a spectators' point of view."
Rovers will be managed by the experienced Paul Martin, who has previously been in charge of Tamworth Ladies and Leicester Vixens and intend to play some of their games at the Moat Ground.

Anyone wishing to join the team is invited to attend a training session at Swadlincote ski slope pitch on Wednesday 26th July at 7.00pm. Players must be aged 14 or over.
