Gedling MW Pre-Match News

Manager Gary Norton has a near full squad for tomorrow's game at the Moat Ground against Gedling Miners Welfare although Brian Woodall remains a doubt.
Tom Betteridge was unable to train in midweek due to a foot injury, but Richard Butler has been to see a physiotherapist and could make the squad.

Jamie Barrett returns after serving a one game suspension and Martin Gadsby is included after missing the Long Buckby game due to being cup-tied.

Rhys Powell is fit, but unavailable due to work commitments but Tom Land could be included in the squad.

Norton is also looking at bringing in more players into the squad over the coming weeks, with an understudy to Royce Turville a priority.

He said: “We’ve got 11 or 12 weeks left and a midweek game nearly every week, so we might need to bring people in.

“We are in talks with a striker who has scored at this level and the two levels above, and he is a free agent at the moment.

“Up front, if Royce Turville gets injured, then we’ve got other players with other attributes, but no-one who can hold the ball up like him.”

Gresley from: Hateley, Baldwin, Hill, Butler, A Betteridge, Land, Barrett, Coulson, Langford, Woodall, Slater, Gadsby, Lyons, Gough, T Betteridge, Turville, Spencer, Marshall, Weightman.
