Horace Wadsworth

Horace Wadsworth a supporter and worker for Gresley Rovers for over 73yrs has sadly passed away aged 81.
Anyone who entered the Moat Ground through the bottom gate would have been met by Horace.

Horace lived in Church Gresley and was a familiar face at the ground, putting many hours in to the club he loved.

His family have asked for any donations in lieu of flowers to be sent to the club saying it is what Horace would have wanted.

Chairman Mark Evans said: "The money will be used to provide a memorial to Horace by developing the bottom gate and probably the placing of a plaque".

Horace's funeral will take place at 10.30am on Thursday 6th September at Church Gresley Methodist Church. The cortege will pass the Moat Ground and the club's social club will be available afterwards.

A minute's silence was observed before Gresley's game at Rocester on Monday night.

Our condolences go to his family.
