Norton said: "Dan was on a contract with Tamworth last year but was sent out on loan to Loughborough Dynamo.

"Dan went back to Tamworth for pre-season, but has not signed and was getting a bit frustrated. Last night he did not put a foot wrong, he looked composed, didn't dive in and used the ball very well.

"The only position in the squad where we have a problem it is at right full-back. Andy Spencer hoped to be involved against Mickleover and started the warm-up, but he began to feel discomfort again.

"He will have ultra-sound treatment for the rest of the week and we will leave it as late as possible before making a decision."
