Players sign
Former Crewe Alexander striker Paul Edwards has completed his move to Gresley Rovers and scored the winner in a mid-week reserve team match against Quorn.
Manager Gary Norton tried to sign 22-year-old Edwards, who had also been at Stafford Rangers, Southport and Redditch United, at Christmas on a loan deal from Crewe but he was released and joined UniBond Premier side Leek Town where he scored four goals. When the player became available again Norton took his opportunity to get his signature.

Norton said: "Paul played for the reserves on Wednesday, scored the only goal and looked very sharp. He is six-foot, big, strong and he is good in the air and will go straight in the line-up against Woodley tomorrow."

Norton is also hoping to complete the signing of Nuneaton Borough defender Steve Farmer who, if the paperwork is completed in time will also be in the squad. The swoop for Farmer is due to injury worries over Gresley's three central defenders.

Coventry born Farmer, 24, joined Borough last summer from Sutton Coldfield Town having previously been with Willenhall Town and Atherstone United. He has scored three goals for the Nationwide Conference North side this season.

Norton said: "We've agreed terms with both the player and Nuneaton and are hoping it all goes through in time for him to be included tomorrow.
