Midfielder signs for the Moatmen
Former Derby County youngster Mickey Lyons has signed for Gresley Rovers and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's (Saturday) game at Brigg Town.
Manager Gary Norton revealed that he's been tracking the former Ilkeston and Belper midfielder for some time. "He first caught my attention last season," said Norton. "I have watched him four or five times this season and he has stood out as one of the best players each time. Mickey was keen to join us and not just for this season. We are already making plans for next season and he is keen on being with us then.

"Mickey is a local lad and knows some of the Gresley players already, so I think he will settle in and be a good addition to the squad. However, he does know he will have to fight for his place as we are blessed in the midfield department at present."
