Bad news for defender
Ian Bluck

Ian Bluck

Defender Ian Bluck has received some devastating news concerning his ankle injury during a routine visit to his physio.
The injury is much worse than was previously diagnosed and could keep him out for the rest of the season.

The club is arranging for Ian to see a specialist as soon as possible to try and determine the full extent of the injury sustained in a pre-season friendly at Tividale at the beginning of August.

Chairman Mark Evans said today: "Ian is naturally very upset. He is a very popular player at the club and has given so much both on and off the field. We will do whatever we can to help him.

"I'm sure that all the supporters, players and officials of Gresley Rovers wish Ian a full and speedy recovery."
