Vandals attack the Moat Ground
For the third time this week vandals have caused damage to the Moat Ground. They have attacked sponsors boards and the perimeter fencing and also the main sign in Moat Street.
The vandals also tried to damage electrical cables around the ground, which chairman Mark Evans described as 'very dangerous'.

"The people who have caused this vandalism have put themselves in danger by trying to damage electrical cables," said Evans. "There could have been a very serious accident if the cable had have been damaged. We are determined to protect our property and would ask local residents to be on alert and report any vandalism to the police as soon as possible.

"We are a community football club and this sort of thing is very expensive for the club and means extra work for the groundsmen, who work tirelessly on the ground, have to repair the damage before they can maintain the pitch etc.

"We are determined to put a stop to this wanton vandalism and have been in discussions with security firms in the area."
