A presentation was made by chairman Mark Evans to "Mr Dependable" Richard Wardle before the game on Boxing Day to commemorate his 600th first team appearance for Gresley Rovers made against Bromsgrove Rovers the previous week.
Manager Gary Norton said: "For Richard to reach this milestone is a fantastic achievement. We call him Mr Dependable as he has played in every position this season apart from in goal or up front.

"Richard is a model professional and a joy to work with. He gave me tremendous support when I was appointed manager of Gresley Rovers and was right behind me from the start.

"Even when he's left out of the side, he acts professionally and takes it on the chin. A lot of players can learn from him, as his loyalty is second to none, particularly in this day and age.

"Richard is a top bloke who had opportunities to go elsewhere in the summer for more money but he's been here for 13 seasons and remains loyal."
