Players to stay
Manager Jon Newsome held a meeting with the players on Thursday and most of them have stated they will be returning to the Moat Ground for next season.
Like many other clubs in the league, Gresley have had to cut their playing budget during this term and there was a fear that many of the players would leave the club after the season ended.

Newsome said: "I was quite surprised by the reaction of the players at the meeting. The majority said they would be happy to stay at the moment."

If Gresley are to progress next season Newsome knows that the squad will need to be strengthened with the main priority being a goal scorer. "That is the main area we are looking to strengthen, but it is going to be difficult."he said.

Chairman Mark Evans said:"We are looking to make money available to Jon to secure the players we want to keep at the club, but we are looking to maintain our existing budget structure. The budget has been agreed which is less than Jon started with last year, but it is one that we think is realistic."
