Rugby pre-match news
Manager Jon Newsome is hoping his side can consolidate their league position at Rugby United.
“I wasn’t too pleased with the first half against Evesham but the second half I thought the lads were great, Newsome said. “I will be looking for more of same this weekend.”

Gresley will be without defender Gary White who is on a course and striker Steve Rutter due to work commitments.

Newsome is still showing his faith in the youngsters by including Earl Alexander, Matt Moran and Carl Timms. Ryan Yearsley and Carl Slater could also be in contention for a place on the bench.

Gresley are hoping to keep Saturday’s and Monday’s opponents below them in the league and to make up ground on Gloucester City who are one place above them.

The last home game of the season against Weston super Mare could have added significance as the Seagulls are going for promotion and have a chance of winning the championship.

Gresley from: Shiels, Barrett, Wardle, Evans, Cheetham, Hopkins, Peters, Gray, Bourne, Timms, Moran, Kitching, Alexander, Newsome, Yearsley, Slater, Lindley.
