Gresley Rovers boss John McGinlay hopes to secure the services of on-loan goalkeeper James Lindley for the rest of the season following Richard Selby's move to Shepshed Dynamo.
Selby, out of favour since McGinlay took 21-year-old Lindley on a month's loan from Notts County, was told he was surplus to requirements.

Now the Moat boss is hoping he can take Lindley until the end of the campaign to give him time to bring in a keeper for next season.

Said McGinlay: "I had a chat with Richard and told him he did not figure in my plans and he has decided to go back to Shepshed. James Lindley has steadied the ship and I am hoping we can get him until the end of the season. I would love him to move here permanently but I don't think that will happen as I think he has a big future in league football."

Lindley will be in goal tomorrow as Rovers hope to build on Monday night's 1-1 draw with Atherstone, which ended a run of six straight defeats, and complete a double over visitors Blakenall (3pm).

Richard Wardle is a doubt after he picked up a knee injury against Atherstone, while Ravi Sangha, Ian Bluck and Andy Cheetham have all been carrying knocks.

"I was very pleased with the performance on Monday," said McGinlay. "It certainly stopped the rot and we are now looking to go on from there and get a win."
