Frank hits at critics

Gresley boss Frank Northwood has hit out at Moat Ground moaners, saying: “Complain to me, not the players.”
The attack came after midfielder Neil Lovell and defender Steve Astley had come under fire from the terraces during last Saturday’s 2-1 win over Halesowen Harriers.Northwood said: “A few fans were shouting things about Steve coming back to the club after leaving us earlier in the season. I’d like them to know that players don’t come here without the blessing of the chairman and the committee. I discussed Steve’s situation with them and he’s welcome back.
“Apparently some fans were getting on Neil Lovell’s back too, asking him how much he paid me to let him play. But Neil’s had some great games for Gresley and I thought he played an important part in our win on Saturday.
“I’d ask these fans – and there are only a few of them – to come and talk to me if they’ve got any complaints. But if they just want to have a moan I can tell them it’ll be like water of a duck’s back with me.”
