Minton injury rocks Rovers
Story courtesy of Burton Mail
Gresley Rovers start their defence of the Derbyshire Senior Cup tonight on the ground where their recent domination of the competition began.
The Moatmen take on struggling HFS Loans Division One side Alfreton at North Street (7.30pm) where in 1988 they lost the first leg 1-0 but battled back to win the cup for the first time in their history.

South Derbyshire’s heroes have since won the trophy in the last three years.

Central defender Jason Minton is definitely out of action for tonight’s first leg clash after suffering a pulled hamstring against Lye on Saturday and could be sidelined for several weeks.

Paul Acklam also faces a late fitness test on the leg strain which has troubled the striker for weeks.
